Teeth Grinding
Teeth grinding or clenching, also knows as bruxism, can cause pre-mature wear and breakage of teeth, but can also lead to damage of the muscles and joint of the jaw. This has been known to produce a wide range of symptoms from headaches and ear aches, to sinus pain and even tinnitus and is sometimes call temporo-mandibular joint dysfunction or TMD.
Treatments for this range from custom designed splints made to protect the teeth and relax the muscles, through to jaw exercises and even Botox injections.
